形態特徵

• Stipe smooth, brown, 4-6 mm across.
• fronds to 6 m or more tall; primary pinnae lanceolate, over 1 m long (110-120 cm), 40-50 cm broad, attenuate towards apex; 3-4 basal pairs of pinnules gradually shortened (to about 7 cm long); pinnules sessile, straight, to 28 cm long, 2-3.5 cm broad; basal ultimate segments with finger-like projections extending over the rachilla; dormant bud and rachilla covered with easily abraded brown lanceolate fringed scales; stipule-like bracts finely cleft, bipinnatifid, to about 4 cm long; costa and undersurface of lamina bearing small stellate hairs.
• Sori with 3-4 sporangia, covered when young with a mass of pale stellate hairs.
